ACCESS TO EMPLOYMENT programme

Helping young adults find work

Position available: Web Communications SALES MANAGER on permanent contract

The young people we follow receive personalised support to help them maximise their chances of finding a job.

We have chosen 2 partners for this programme:

  • local.fr, a national digital company
  • Académie YouNus, an association with a strong commitment to young people in the neighbourhood

Programme description

  • Preparing for the job interview
  • Once recruitment has been confirmed and before joining the local.fr company, the young person will receive a number of training courses:
    • the requirements of the job
    • the company culture
    • how to behave in the community, etc.

To give them all the tools they need to build a successful future, we will be training participants in both the practical tools they will need in their future working lives and the rules of good corporate behaviour.

Connexion Avenir will provide training in the following areas:

  • basic skills expected by the partner company
  • sales techniques
  • sales training
  • role-playing
  • workshops

The YouNus Academy will provide training in:

  • soft skills
  • overcoming obstacles
  • how to present yourself at an interview

We have chosen to work with the YouNus Academy, which shares our objectives.

This association works with young people in socially and educationally vulnerable situations. Its aim is to develop initiatives that promote social cohesion, personal development and academic and professional success for young people – using the values of sport and cultural and educational activities.

Founded in Bordeaux by Abdoulaye Ndiaye, a former professional basketball player, the Academy is well established in Bordeaux’s Grand Parc priority neighbourhood. Thanks to its excellent knowledge of the area, and the trust it has built up with its residents, the Academy is the ideal partner to help us select participants and then train them for the next step: a first foot in a company.

The Academy has already coached a large number of young people since 2012.

It will be working alongside Connexion Avenir to train the young people taking part in the programme and give them all the keys they need to integrate smoothly into working life within a digital company or to continue their studies in this field.

local.fr supports small and medium-sized businesses with high-performance digital communication solutions.

With more than 360 employees, the company has been active throughout France for 40 years, putting professionals in touch with their customers by developing their visibility on the Internet, while offering them digital solutions tailored to their needs.

Website creation, business solutions and search engine optimisation are their 3 areas of expertise.

The local.fr company is giving the young people in the programme the opportunity to join their company, either in Bordeaux or in one of their other national agencies, in the position of Website Sales Representative on a permanent contract.
